Limitless is the influence of plants and trees on human lives. Without the plants and trees man or animals cannot live even for a moment. The relationship between man and nature is eternal.
This relationship has been existing in the world since the creation of life on earth and will continue to exist. Besides influencing the human lives in their natural way of life, the trees and plants are also contributing to the physical aspects of human bodies to keep men bodily fit and healthy. Some of the contributions are mentioned below :
1. If a tulsi plant is grown on the eastern side of one's house and incense, resin (having sweet smell) and earthen lamp are lighted up always in front of it - the tulsi plant showers blessings to all the members of the house to become healthy and prosperous.
2. If the juices of the tulsi leaves are taken daily by one, he enjoys long life-time in addition to being free from all diseases.
3. Preparing curd in a glass vessel in the month of Vaisakha (i.e. April-May) and mixing in it 100 grams of Tulsi juice, if one takes it regularly, he can keep himself away from suffering from any incurable diseases.
4. If someone devoid of sleep at night keeps leaves of Tulsi inside the pillow, he may enjoy sound sleep.

5. If one, taking a thorn of Bilva plant along with twenty one leaves of tulsi plant and putting them together inside an amulet of silver or a Kavach holds that amulet or Kavach in his waist, his waist-pain or any other disease of the waist will be cured.
6. When an amulet of silver with three leaves of tulsi plant, one dry leaf of bilva plant and twenty one seeds of white mustard inside it is worn with the help of a black thread in one's neck, he can protect himself from the influence of evil incantations and ghosts etc.
7. If a person paying homage to Lord Visnu offers 108 nos. of leaves of tulsi plants marked with the paste of white chandan on them, his sudden distress and dangers cease to exist.
8. Garland of Tulsi pleases Lord Visnu. If it is offered to Lord Visnu one gets deliverance from all crisis and troubles.
9. If a heart-patient uses to take red tea prepared out of the powders of the bark of Arjuna tree mixing with powders of dried leaves of tulsi plant, his heart-disease may be cured.
10. High blood pressure may be controlled by taking powders of dried leaves of Tulsi plant on the head, uttering the name of Lord Visnu.
11. If tulsi plants are grown on all sides of the house, there is no fear from fire and shaft lightning i.e. thunderbolt.
12. The tulsi plant in the house where you always light up lamp, incense, sweet smelling resin etc. should always be healthy. It is not auspicious to keep withering or fading tulsi plants in the house.
13. No water from the wet clothes when spread out for drying, should fall on the tulsi plant. Similarly, water of washed clothes should never fall on tulsi plant. It is forbidden.
14. When you keep tulsi leaves more than three with you at the time of any of your journey, you may be safe from dangers and calamities.
15. Interest of the students or learners for study is increased if tulsi leaves are kept inside the text books.
16. The house-godess Lakshmi remains residing in peace in the house, if twenty one leaves of tulsi and two coins of paise being fastened together in a silver cloth are kept in the place where money is usually kept stored in the house.
17. In the process of planting act of tulsi plants. planting of each tulsi plant is considered to be itself an act of achievement, that means, a boon for each plant is expected to be obtained.
18. The creeper lajuki grass (mimosa pudica) if planted in a tub and is kept on the eastern or northern side of the house, it brings peace to the house.
19. If anybody uprooting the root of the lajuki grass of the southern side on a Tuesday or Saturday which fall on a Purnima tithi (i.e. full moon day) and making it dry under shadow and then putting this inside an amulet wears this amulet, then others will be attracted to him.
20. When the members of a family in a house fall out one another or their mutual relationship is strained, a root of the lajuki grass should be cut into pieces which may be put with the leaves of the Aparajita plant inside an amulet and when this amulet is worn, the relationship of the owner becomes always peaceful or cordial.
21. If one, pouring water by a vessel made of copper on a lajuki plant and then lighting up incense and sweel-smelling resin in front of it expresses his mind before it. the relationship of husband and wife will be pleasant.
22. The southern side-root of the lajukilata, the souther side root of the Arjuna tree and the southern side root of the pomegranate should be taken together and be dried under shadow and then all should be put inside an amulet made of three kinds of metals. This amulet then, when worn by an unemployed youth or girl after paying oblation with lighting up incense and lamp in a Kali temple in the evening, will bring success in getting employment. Following through this process one's work-capacity will also be increased. And there is likelihood of obtaining good result in interview, employment etc.
23. Lighting lamp northward under a Neem tree (Melia indica), if one offers five Jaba flowers (the China rose), or five Karavi flowers (the orleander), his skin diseases are completely cured. But this process will have to be continued or followed one day in every month till three months or nine months.
